The OC Fair and the US Open all in one!!

When Luke and I get our two days off each week we always try to "get outta town". So we decided to go down to the OC and visit some friends. On our way down we stopped in Santa Monica and visited my old roommate and good friend Katy Graham. It was so good to see her cuz it had been a while since she moved from SB about a year ago. The Lord is doing a lot in her life and it as fun to swap stories.


Then we went to Orange County to meet up with Peter and Josie. Peter was the guy that Luke traveled through Indonesia with doing missionary work. We had a blast at this fair. It was right across the street from Peter's house so we just walked on over. So fun!!

Of course we'd find Luke by the food!!

Okay so the girls got into it as well.. This sausage sandwich was enormous!!

There were these artist who sculpted this entire thing with just sand and water!! Nothing else!

There was this sign that said "The Giant Horse".. pay 1 dollar to see it. I was like, "How good can it really be for a buck".. but we did it anyway and it was CRAZY.. Dude this horse was HUGE!! It was almost unreal. I wonder what its mother looked like!

The pictures barely do it justice but the horse was 6 feet 6 inches tall. That's taller than Luke! All of us felt like midgets next to this thing.

I thought this mac and cheese bowl was super cute for the kids.. talk about playing with your food!

Luke, Dave and Peter were all in Indo together. It was neat to see them reunited in the states.

Ok so I realize that the Lord really loves Luke's desire to surf because there are so many times where I see God just bless him with waves on days or times there shouldn't be and just so many other things... like today Luke happened to see in the paper that the US Open was in Huntington Beach. The US Open is this huge surf contest that all the pros do etc. And it's once a year and we "happened" to be down here (thanks God) for it!! So we went and it was so much fun!






So our two days were packed with fun! God is great and he loves to let us have fun!! Praise Jesus for who he is! The best father anyone could ask for!
