Okay...
Most people know that Luke and I have been in a time of waiting.... waiting on the Lord to see where He is leading us next....
So last year over Christmas we were sitting on the lava rocks in Hawaii feeling like this was the place the Lord was going to lead us.. Yet when we got back to Santa Barbara nothing seemed to come to anything... leaving us confused and waiting... and waiting! Although it seemed long we knew the Lord was saying to wait. Some days it felt like forever but God was working it all
out!
So................

The Lord has opened a door!
Finally something has budged. A motion begins!......
Starting Jan 1, 2009 Luke and I will be moving to Kona Hawaii and joining YWAM!
Youth With A Mission is an incredible Christian missionary organization that has been around for about 50 years spreading the gospel. Their slogan is to KNOW GOD AND MAKE HIM KNOWN, and that couldn't better express our hearts!
When Luke and I met we knew in a very short time that we were made for missions! And for each other! God has been SO good to us! And I will forever be grateful!

When Luke and I met we knew in a very short time that we were made for missions! And for each other! God has been SO good to us! And I will forever be grateful!
Luke will be doing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM and I will be attending it as well. A DTS is the first school in YWAM where you learn a lot about God and yourself and take what you have learned to a third world country and put your training to work-- Spreading the wonderful Gospel.I did my DTS in 1998 when I was 17 and it changed my life and I haven't stopped talking about it since. I truly found that Jesus is real and that He is the Way and the only way! Now Luke wants to experience it too and after we are done we can continue a life of missions with YWAM or however the Lord may lead. We are so excited!!
Now we are in the process of selling everything we own! Everything that is comfortable to us! Everything that made up our lives in Santa Barbara and heading off on an adventure with HIM...
So would you please be praying for us in this time? For all the details to fall into place. For the finances to come in and most of all for us to continue to hear the voice of our Savior and to follow Him to the end!

You guys, we are so blessed to see what the Lord is doing in your lives! You have been such an inspiration, knowing how bad you wanted something to happen and watching you wait in obedience. You have taught us a lot about trusting in the Lord. He is fulfilling every promise He has made over the last few years and we are excited to hear what He will do and where He will take you next.

Luke and Bethany found your blog (super cool by the way), that is soooo exciting!!! I am so happy for the both of you :) Hopefully Trevor and I will get to see you before you take off on your awesome adventure the Lord has for you!!! Oh also, I know this super couple who is getting married soon haha i.e. Trevor and I, that have absolutely no furniture....so def let us know what your plan is, we would love to help you with the selling, just keep us posted!!!
