XTREME PLACES DTS

Okay.... the day has arrived!!! We are on our "Adventure With Him"... Every day is an adventure with Him but now it really feels like it! Praise the Lord. I don't know how to express how much peace we have here in Kona, Hawaii. Not everything is perfect, the food isn't your typical 5 star restaurant, the organization isn't always "on the ball", everyone is from a different places and a different background... but somehow it just PERFECT--That we are right where the Lord wants us... and that makes all the difference.

There's nothing better than to be in the will of God!

On our flight from L.A. to Kona we had a 3 hour lay over in Oahu and hung out with our dear friends Nick, Becky and Meehan Dellar (who was JUST doing her DTS in Kona) So fun to see all of them. They picked us up from the airport and we jumped in their truck and hung out in a parking lot (Hawaiian Style =) ) and snacked out on food!! Yeah!! I wish it could have been longer. We got to pray together and caught up on all that God is doing in our lives...

When we arrived in Kona we hung out with my family for a couple of days. It was awesome.
Whenever my mom and I get together we always end up jumping around doing some sort of dorky exercise thing together.. it's been this way forever.. I love it! Love you mommy!!

Not everyone is in this picture but it's Micah, Us, Suzanne and Dad. My older brother Aaron and youngest brother Jordan is missing.

AT THE YWAM KONA BASE

It's great being married because we get our own room. If your are single you have to share a room with up to 7 people. Praise the Lord. =) This is a view from our room. It's a great place to spend with the Lord and to eat meals together.
Mom hooked us up with stuff for our room cuz we didn't have anything as far as furnishings go. Thanks mom!!!

The base. It's really big so this is just one view. This place is called the "Ohana Court".. which in Hawaiian means Family Court. The whole base meets here for times of corporate worship and prayer. Super cool. There are hundreds of people who meet here every week. What a faith builder.

This is the founder of YWAM Lauren Cunningham! How cool! He just trusted the Lord and obeyed what He said, and out came YWAM! Praise the Lord for an ordinary man who just chose to follow God with his whole life! This coming year will mark YWAM's 50th year anniversary!
Our class! This is the room where we all spilled our guts the first night about our past and our testimonies etc.. and we just all grew really close really fast! Our team is awesome. I love each and every one!

This is our DTS Leader Dan Baumann. He is awesome! He has the craziest stories of anyone I've ever heard. He was imprisoned in Iran for 9 weeks... and man you could listen to this guy forever! His stories are straight up MIRACLES!! Goofing around! Left Phil (in back ), Becka, Rebbecca, Brian, and Alex. We love all these guys!

All I can say is "Thank You DAD for the truck!".. So awesome having a vehicle. Not everyone at the base does so we have become the "designated" drivers for field trips! So great to serve in that way!

We drive to beautiful beaches .. but you have to go through gnarly looking lava to get there. Don't worry Dad we didn't "Off Road" or take the truck to Makalawena. =)
TA-DA!
And yes Luke is enjoying his surfing. And since it's nice and warm I was able to go with him. The first time in 3 years.. It was so fun!

This is the food court! UMMM. and ya these next few pics are pretty much for Julia Dellar. LOL.. If you look closely you'll see that we bought our own salad dressing. =) Ha!

"Um... EXCUSE ME... Partially Hydrogenated Oil??" (ya we got our own natural peanut butter.. such snobs huh? hehe..) But man, once you know how bad that stuff is you'd never touch Skippy again. Julia we've made some converts already... =) Boy do we miss you!

"High Fructose Corn syrup!!! How could they!" lol..

God is sooooo good! We are all getting along great and growing in Jesus! Please keep us in prayer as we seek the Lord for the next three months and intercede for the nations! You all are such a support to us. May you always know that! We don't know where we'd be without the support from our friends and family! God bless you all!

" I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now...."
Phil 1: 3-5

Okay, not only do you live in the building I used to live in, you are sleeping in what was MY BEDROOM for three years!!!! I can't believe this! (PS my dad fell through the floor once near the lanai, so be careful!) How funny that you would have this wonderful new experience and still have a funny connection to your best friend! Have fun, learn a lot and say hello to your parents for me.
All my love and prayers,
