Hello everyone! So... believe it or not, this is my (Luke's) first ever blog entry! Just figured you all might wanna hear the OTHER side of the story, ha ha.
Living in Hawaii this past month or so has been awesome! I am totally loving the cruisy lifestyle, the weather and the waves. However, things aren't always so mellow... just last week while surfing, I went over the falls and slammed my head into the reef. I put a hole in my head and got some pretty sweet reef rash -- good times. There was so much adrenaline pumping when it happened that it didn't even hurt. I paddled back out and everyone was like "brah, your head don't look so good, there's a lot of blood". So before any sharks started to circle, I got out and drove myself back to the YWAM base.

Thankfully, there is a Norwegian couple (Espen & Sarah) in our group who gave me some medical attention.

All fixed up!

Then, right after getting patched up, we piled everyone into the pickup truck and drove to the highest mountain in the islands -- Mauna Kea.

At the summit... yes, this is Hawaii

After losing a lot of blood and then driving up into high altitude, I was feeling pretty goofy. I thought this tree was fuuuunnny!

Our friend Julia Dellar sent us the BEST care package ever -- Trader Joe's food! Her mother's heart couldn't bear to let us eat the stuff they call food at YWAM. I decided to do some Trader Joe's angels (instead of snow angels).

So, yeah, God has been super good to us and we are just stoked that we get to KNOW HIM more and just have fun with our new friends who want to do the same! We love you guys soooo much and we'll talk to ya soon!
