ONE WEEK LEFT!!!

Oh man!! It's been over a MONTH since our last entry. Talk about a FULL schedule.. but so full of the Lord! Where do we begin is the question? This always happens to me... the longer I wait to do a blog entry the more pressure I feel building in my heartcuz I want to share EVERYTHING... and then it all piles up so fast, with pictures, what God is showing me and Luke, etc etc.. that I can't possibly fit it all in.... so ya well here it goes.

We have ONE more week before we all leave on outreach. So many emotions: Excited, Nervous, Anticipation, Sadness having to say goodbye to the other parts of our team (cuz we are all splitting up into smaller groups) Joy....

I can't believe the lecture part of our DTS is over after this week. We have learned so much! Here is just a smidgen from all the different speakers we've had:
  • If you are not in love with Jesus, everything else will drain you. No matter how many "good" things you try to do to make yourself feel better there's no peace that comes like the peace Jesus gives when you just forget yourself and just BE WITH HIM! After that it all flows out.
  • Don't follow after signs and wonders, they will follow after you when you keep your eyes on Jesus!
  • Prophesying over someone is just as simple as sharing with them the things you see in them, and speaking them forth! Encouraging them... It's not all "weird"... it's actually AMAZING!
  • SUBMISSION: The Lord has shown me to die to my dreams in this time and to step aside and let Luke learn to lead me. I have learned so much about beautiful submission. It's so amazing to see how God weaves Luke and I together as I step aside and let him go for it! It's so not what the Christian world has painted submission to be ... it's far greater! You actually get your life back even greater then before you laid it down!
  • "THE SPIRIT OF POVERTY is not the state of not having, it is the fear of not getting that causes us to hold onto what we have" This quote has so changed me. If we really knew God would give us back something after we give it away.. we'd give and give and give!
  • "Our greatest fear in life is that we'd be known and then rejected. Our greatest longing in life is that we'd be known and loved"
  • "If you talk from the heart you'll reach the heart. If you talk from the head you'll reach the head."
  • 2/3 rds of GOD is GO! When Jesus said to go he never said come back home!!!
  • If you don't apply what you hear you WON'T remember it!
  • 95% of Christians don't lead ANYONE to the Lord! So if you have you are in the top 5 % .
  • "If I know what I'm willing to die for then I know what I am willing to live for."
  • We are about ELIMINATION. God is about TRANSFORMATION.
  • "You don't reproduce what you want to reproduce. You reproduce what you see"
  • "If you take a pauper and put him in a palace he will make it a prison, but if you take a prince and put him in a prison he will make it a palace." - "you always create an environment around you that you believe is in you" ----woa think about that one! took me a second!
  • "When we see Him as He is we begin to see ourselves as we are"

Man there is sooooooo much more where that all came from, but there's a tid bit of what Luke and I have been learning.

We are a week away and would LOVE YOUR PRAYERS!!! Here is our humble little team. Ray our leader, Hanne, Luke and yours truly.

  1. Pray for our team to be healthy.
  2. That we would hear the voice of the Lord clearly.
  3. That Luke and I would get enough alone time.
  4. Last minute details would all come together.
  5. Smooth transition from Kona to the Middle East.
  6. Faith for our team to see God move in GREAT ways.
  7. Unity

Before we say good bye here are some pics of what we have been doing over this last month! It has been radical! God is AMAZING.. He truly transforms us!

This is my baby brother Jordan. Not so baby anymore. He turned 19 on Feb 19th. It was his golden birthday... and boy did God have a surprise for him. Over the past year Jordan had slipped a lot in his walk with the Lord. He is saved but was just making bad choices... And on his birthday he came to the Base here and went to one of our Thursday night meetings. And I prayed and prayed the Holy Spirit would be so strong and would change his life and get him back on track.... And OH MAN... GOD SHOWED UP! It would take me a whole other blog to write all the things that God has done in Jordan's life in the past 3 1/2 weeks. But just say that Jordan is walking strong in the Lord, gave up all his past, and is going to do aDTS in July at the YWAM base in Sunshine Coast Australia!
All I can say every day is THANK YOU JESUS!! You truly redeem!

On top of that Jordan wanted to go to Waipio Valley for his birthday. And guess where our whole team was ALREADY going? Ya so he came with us!! So fun!

And on the way we picked up a little "hitch hiker!!" Hehe... Becky Dellar. She came over to hang with us while Nick was gone! SO MUCH FUN! We finally got to say we hung out together in Hawaii like we had been saying all along. Thank you Jesus!

We also got to have another surprise with us--Dan Shannon! He is dating Meehan Dellar, Becky's Sister in Law. Ya it's just one big connection!
Then we went to South Point, the most southern tip of the entire Island and the United States. It's pretty trippy down there. They have this whole spot where you can cliff jump. We had a blast.

After cliff jumping we all went up for a BBQ and sleep over at my mom's house. A bit of civilization from being on the base so long. A hot tub, good food and fellowship. Can't beat that!
Some slept under the stars...
Some slept in the garage.. ya know.. wherever!! Outreach style!!

We all woke up and had the most amazing french toast breakfast!!!

OKAY THIS BLOG ENTREE IS ALMOST OVER I SWEAR....

Luke felt like the Lord said that we were supposed to go to Maui.(which is so cool cuz Luke came here to learn how to hear God's voice better... and he is. By just stepping out and risking with what he thinks might be God he is discovering that he hears God's voice more than he realized.. so awesome)
So we prayed about Maui and just waited to see if the Lord would open something up...and sure enough we had a speaker come in the next day from the Maui base. We all hit it off and one thing lead to another and we ended up booking tickets. --on the smallest airplane in the WORLD.. Julia Dellar you would have died! We totally thought of you! The turbulance was histarical.
We got into the cute little town of Paia. This is where Luke's brother Andrew had lived for about 6 months. So it was fun taking pictures in the places he used to work.

Which was this cool restaurant called Charleys.
This is Bryan and Maria Daughtry and their cute son Keva. Once we met up and hung out it became quite clear why the Lord told us to go over there. We ended up having the BEST fellowship and encouraged each others' marriages. They were at a critical point in some decisions for their future etc and the Lord used Luke and I to help them in the right direction. Love the Lord that He would send two strangers (practically) over to Maui just to encourage someone. That is my God!
On March 13th it was my Dad's birthday! So we all went over to Kapoho (on the other side of the Island) to hang with Dad and wonderful step mom Suzanne. It was so much fun. It is SO PEACEFUL over there I wish I could have stayed longer.... but we had to be back by Sat night for our DTS Love Feast.

THE LOVE FEAST...

The end of Lecutre Phase

This is what every DTS does at the end of Lecutre Phase. We have a nice meal all together and share about all that God has done.... we tell funny stories and just have a good time in Jesus!!
We were SOOOO blessed to get to use Lauren Cunningham's house (the Founder of YWAM) That is truly an honor. His house is amazing. And the coolest thing is that this house was given to him and his wife Darline. And what do they do?... just give it back to the Lord by letting people use it. What amazing people. You can see why YWAM has gone such a long way.

God gave us the best sunset!!

We all got up and shared. This is good ol Dan.. our leader. He is so great! We really have grown so close to him. His is an increible man of God!
Then there's always time for a little hotubbing!

OKAY OKAY IT'S FINALLY OVER... Sorry it was so long but I don't know when we are going to be able to do another blog. Hopefully soon. But we are all getting backed up and ready to head over seas! We leave this monday March 23rd! Crazy

Jesus is good and we know He will always be with us no matter where we go!

Keep us in your prayers! You are in ours!!

love you all.....

sigh.... your beautiful faces... joy and envy both at the same time as i stare at these pictures, shouldn't i be cliff jumping with Luke yelling encouragement to do so and i think helping Bethanys mom make french toast for the YWAM masses would put an eternal smile on my face :)) and I could only experience turbulence on a puddle jumper with you Bethany!!!! o.k, enough of the pity party!!! :) you know how super stoked I am for you two, big love and hugs to you both, i love you both to the moon and back.
