1. I quit my job at the Montecito Cafe. I have worked there for almost 9 years and it was crazy saying goodbye to everyone. I have had some of the most amazing times at that restaurant.. and God has done SO much there the stories are endless.
I couldn't have asked for a better last day. So many people came to say goodbye. After my shift ended my best friend Julia and I and our husbands all went to the new restaurant called Jane that the Montecito Cafe opened... and we had dinner. After a wonderful meal we discovered that my boss bought our WHOLE dinner as a goodbye gift.. It was SO amazing of them to do that. I felt so loved.
Thank you Mark and Margaret, Jane, Emma and Ben!! Will miss you guys!
2. I recorded two of my own songs with Eric Palmquist, Julia's husband. We've been trying to do it for a while and just didn't get around to it. But then all of a sudden I only had 6 days left so we did it! Eric was SO AWESOME.. a great teacher and studio recorder. He helped me so much in how to restructure my songs and how to sing to certain parts etc. I has so much fun!
P.S. I'll send you a little sample soon once I get the final cut.

3. We packed EVERYTHING we own! You don't realize how much crap you have until you have to move it! uhhhhhh... but we did it! Took 2 1/2 days of straight work but it was very rewarding in the end.

Threw away so much stuff!! Gave so much away... Sold so much!! And still it piled up!
4. Then we cleaned!!! FOREVER!!! From all the ash from the past 2 HUGE fires over the 2 years we've been here there was soooo much dirt and grime on the walls...

We said goodbye to our WONDERFUL NEIGHBORS!! We will miss you all so much!! Such a blast living with you!

We loved this place... so many memories, so many wonderful times of friends and fellowship. From homegroups and Women's prayer, to all the wonderful people that have come to visit and slept on our couch =) to our first Christmas, first dinner together as a married couple, and first place that we could call our own.
Thank you Steve and Pam Koop for being such WONDERFUL landlords! We will miss you!! And thank you to all our neighbors: Sue, Cassie, Chase, Austin!!(and Fiona)! It has been fun and a time we will NEVER FORGET!!
5. Then we moved the last of our stuff to the Dellars, ( our parents away from home) We don't know what we would do without these two.

All our crap stuffed into our car!

Only Dale would have a huge dolly to move our stuff. You can tell they've done this before. =)

Julia cleared a place in their garage for our stuff.
OUR REWARD!!! Sushi, red wine, a fireplace and the best company in the world!!

Thank you Julia and Dale. We love you both more than you will ever know!
We spent the night at the Dellar's and the next day we headed down to LAX for the East Coast to see Luke's family! We are off on our first adventure!
That will have to be another blog entry!!
LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!
THANK YOU FOR BEING OUR FRIENDS!!!

I can't wait to hear your songs! I ran into your mommy at the bank yesterday... she is coming to terms with the fact that it is Luke's family's turn this Christmas... poor thing! But I can't wait to see you- hurry up & get home!
What an expression of love as you said good-bye to all your wonderful friends and family...beautiful to read! You two will be greatly missed...you will stay in my prayers and I look forward to your updates as you continue ON AN ADVENTURE WITH HIM! May the Lord continue to be the head our your lives!
Talk about counting the cost and leaving it all behind! So stoked to see how the Lord is going to bless you two.
