DTS has BEGUN!

We are already into week 3 and the students are getting rocked by God!!

 Fear of the Lord Week!!

Boris was our speaker for the week and the students learned so much about what it really means to fear God - to surrender your will to His and TRUST that He knows best. The crazy thing is that when we do this God's will ends up being the most exciting thing on earth and we never regret giving it all up to Him! 

Boris really felt that he should talk about healing and that God heals people today. So he shared some of his crazy stories of personal healing. One time he went wakeboarding and he fell on a jump and completely blew his ear drum out. He had NO EAR DRUM! He went to the doctors three different times and they all confirmed that the flap of skin that used to be there was GONE! One day in church a few days later he felt the Holy Spirit say, "I'm going to heal you and give you a new ear drum"... a few seconds later his ear popped and he could hear clearly again. He went to the doctor and they checked and he had a COMPLETELY NEW EAR DRUM! Boris had many other crazy stories so he has a lot of authority to speak on this topic. 

He wanted to show the students that they can walk like Jesus did and lay hands on the sick and heal them so he did this exercise where you check if your friends have a leg that is shorter than the other or if their hips are out of place and you pray for God to align their legs. He took one of our staff Alex who is 6'5'' and who had a severely shorter leg than the other and prayed over him and HE WAS HEALED before EVERYONE'S EYES!! We have it on video.. it was so cool and faith building.

God is shouting DELIVERANCE!

Okay so for the last 3 months as we were praying and preparing for this DTS God kept showing us that he wanted us to learn about Inner Healing and Deliverance. When we were in Papua New Guinea we encountered a demon possessed woman who needed deliverance BIG TIME! When we prayed for her we were UNABLE to deliver her after 4 hours of trying. This sent Luke and I on a journey of wanting to learn more about deliverance and Inner Healing. Luke read a book about it, then when we came back to the YWAM Base here in Australia we "happened" to be in the office when a women called and left a message about a 2 day conference that was happening here on the Sunshine Coast about INNER HEALING and DELIVERANCE!! With our jaws dropped we signed up right away and got a lot of our staff signed up. (we are going to it next week).  

THEN (if those signs weren't enough) we had some good friends of ours Ben and Amy Davies come visit us from the YWAM Base in Kona. They are staffing DTS over there and felt like God told them to come to Australia for a few reasons which they are still discovering. But one reason I know they came for was this: The second we picked them up from the train station we started asking how they were and how DTS is going in Kona. The first thing they said was that God had been teaching them about INNER HEALING and DELIVERANCE!!!!! Ummmm okaaaaaay God we get it!!!  SO COOL!!  =)

We spend the next 9 days with them learning more and more about how to walk people through this stuff and helping them become SET FREE from hurt and bondage from the past! Ben and Amy taught our staff more how to do deliverance sessions and they also spoke to our students. 

THIS TEACHING HAS BEEN LIFE CHANGING not only to us but to our WHOLE DTS!! Already we have helped some students who have dealt with deep hurt from the past. One girl had demonic attacks all the time and wanted to kill herself for years for no known reason. As we dug into her past we found out she had major unforgiveness toward her family, friends, boyfriends who had taken advantage of her etc. When we walked her through the steps of forgiveness and breaking off the spiritual darkness she allowed into her life she BALLED her eyes out and experienced the most FREEDOM she's ever felt in her life at that moment!! Even her face changed and now as days have gone by she feels like a new person and no longer has thoughts of suicide or demonic visitations!  GO GOD!!!!

Identity In Christ

This week Luke is teaching on Identity in Christ. I think EVERY time he speaks on this topic God challenges him in this area. One thing that is SOOO COOL is that after learning about the deliverance teaching we started to examine areas in our own lives and realized we needed freedom from lies we had been believing for years about who we are etc. Luke discovered a lie that he had been believing since he was a little kid and asked God for forgiveness and gave over the lie to Jesus and received the truth of what God feels about him and we broke the bondage. After praying Luke felt a lot better. We went to bed and the VERY NEXT DAY we started to pray together and the Holy Spirit came over Luke like NEVER BEFORE!! It was so so cool! I have seen it happen to others but never in my own husband... he started to have this bubbling feeling in his stomach and what felt like he was being tickled came all over him and he started to laugh like a little kid and COULD NOT CONTROL IT!! it was soooooo awesome! It was the JOY of the Lord... and it changed his whole being. It was amazing..

Anyway, needless to say God is doing amazing things in us all here.

SO please pray for this week! YOUR PRAYERS ARE DOING WONDERS! DON'T STOP!

Also tomorrow is our Refresh time with our staff where we get together Monday nights with NO AGENDA but to seek God's face and see what happens. Please pray Luke and I don't try and control the time but just let God move how he wants to.
