Kingdom Week!

Kingdom Week!

Rob did a great job teaching this week. All the students were challenged to think outside their "Christian" boxes about what it means to bring the Kingdom of God here on earth. What did Jesus mean when he peached the good news before he was even crucified? What does the good news mean in a broader sense beyond the message of Him dying on a cross because when He went around preaching the Kingdom of God he hadn't died yet so what did he mean?

This and more is what the students were wrestling with this week. There were lots of discussions and arguments around what it means to bring the Kingdom of God here now!

Many students said they had NEVER thought of the Kingdom the way it was presented this week and felt like their whole lives needed to be readjusted.

So by the end of the week they were so grateful to Rob for opening their minds to actually DO something different today and every day to make God's Kingdom known and felt and experienced here in earth RIGHT NOW!

Pray for North Korea!
For our intercession time this week we learned about the persecuted church in North Korea. We wanted them to have a more hands on experience of what it would feel like to not be able to worship and talk about Jesus freely. So we all dressed up like terrorists and bombarded their classroom and blindfolded them all and pushed them around and screamed at them etc and shoved all 32 of them into a 10x8 room with no lights or ventilation and had them pray in there for North Korea. It was a cool time of prayer and the students started to have a heart for the church there.

LOL our staff were getting really into it right before we went into the classroom to scare the students so they grabbed me and decided to do a practice run ;)

While the husbands away the girls get to play!

Since Luke has been gone for 10 days doing a certification course for us to be on staff I've kept myself busy running the school by myself and hanging with all the girls! So I made a girls night where we ate chocolate and fruit and drank tea... and sang old hymns by candlelight. It was so much fun!!

Volleyball by day - Assassins by night!

Over the weekend we had a beach volleyball tournament with the SBS (School of Biblical Studies). It was so much fun just hanging all together in the beautiful sunlight.

Then at night we played this game called Assassins - where everyone dresses up in black and all meets up by the local gas station. Then we have 30 minutes to run in pairs to the local skate park without getting caught by snipers with flashlights who are driving all over looking for us. We played three times. First time I was caught, second time I drove and was a sniper, and third time we made it safely to our destination.

I love devine appointments!
This is my beautiful friend Meaghan. Her and I met last year at a perfume shop (where she was working). Luke had gone there to buy me perfume for my birthday and met Meaghan. Her and I hit it off right away and I felt like God gave me some prophetic words for her life. I told them to her and said sometime we should hang out.

Well the next week Luke and I went back in her shop to see if she was working (cuz we didn't get her phone number yet) and it was her day off. I was so bummed. BUT AS I WALKED OUT and started walking through the shopping mall I look over to my right and WHO DO I SEE? Meaghan sitting on a bench with her boyfriend - on her DAY OFF!! We both kinda noticed each other at the same time in shock and were like, "heeeey... you're that girl I met the other week!"... and the rest has been history!

We have been hanging out on and off for about a year now and I can see God just loving on her so much. Pray she can feel God's love in such a life changing way. I just love Meaghan so much and feel so blessed God brought her into my life. I tell her this every time I see her. I love how He works!

Well I guess that's it for now!

OH YA... Next week is

Missions Week!
This is where the students learn about reaching those who have NEVER heard the gospel before and also how to live a missional life WHEREVER you are! Such a good week, and taught by the best person -  John who was the DTS director before us and who is a LIVING example of reaching the unreached - He and his whole family are moving to the middle east to reach the muslim population there who have NEVER heard the name of Jesus. It's gonna be a great week.

Please pray the God opens the students hearts to ACTUALLY pray about allowing God to have their whole lives no matter the cost cuz what does it really mean to follow Jesus and give him EVERYTHING if we won't give him our lives and plans? Life is short so why hold onto it anyway? Jesus said, "if you try to save your life you will lose it, but if you lose your life for My sake you will find it!" So ya pray God really gets ahold of them - not just a mental understanding cuz all that does is produce hypocrites who say they understand with their minds and then do nothing with their lives - Jesus says if you are luke warm I will spit you out of my mouth. So pray for a HEART CHANGE... that their spirits are affected, cuz when that happens there is lasting fruit... and not just an emotional experience. And this heart change can mean going to the unreached part of the world or staying in their hometown - but it just means they obey what God says no matter the cost, however that looks.

K bye for now!

Oh and pray for Luke and our other staff who are still down in Newcastle doing the government certification course so we all can stay in this country. They come home Tues. which I'm really excited about. This has been the longest Luke and I have ever been apart since we've been married. I know sad right? Only 10 days but I guess it means we like being around each other. =)
