God moved! Minds were changed!  Students walked out in power! People were loved!

We had such a great time down at YWAM Brisbane!
God totally showed up and rocked us and the students.

We taught for 12 hours in 5 days and it was so exciting! Our prayer for this week was that the students would ACTUALLY change their whole lives and thinking on what Evangelism looks like. In the past and even currently there is this idea that evangelism is hard to do and it's only for "Evangelists" or that it's a forced thing where Christians SHOVE the bible down people's throats, or just inconvenience people, bother them, or just flat out are a bad example of what a Christian is supposed to look like.

Well that whole concept and much much more changed this week for all the students! We went around in the beginning of the week and asked who HONESTLY was afraid to do evangelism? And a lot of hands went up! By the end of the week they were SO pumped up we couldn't shut them up! Haha!

So what made the change?  Teaching them to actually look like Jesus! Loving people where they are at, seeing the good in people, getting prophetic words for them, drawing out the person they were always meant to be, healing the sick, casting out the demonic strongholds that keep people captive to the enemy etc... still working on raising the dead =)... but we'll get there!  Destroying the works of the devil!  We just talked about what Jesus did to love people, how He doesn't hold the worlds sins against them, that He came to restore them to himself and to FORGIVE everything they've ever done!  We gave them examples of lots of ways to love people, as well as TONS of personal stories from us on how we've been doing this.... Then after a few days of teaching them we put what we learned into practice!! Do you know that if you don't practice what you learn then you'll forget it? If all you do is learn something in your mind and never do anything with it then what's the point of learning it?!

All the students were encouraged to get out there so we headed into the citythursday night and just loved people in any way we could! It was amazing!

One of our students was walking by a group of young people and got a word of knowledge that one of the guys legs was hurt. She nervously went over and asked the group. Instantly a guy jumped up and said, "ya it's MY LEG!! How did you know that?!!" She began to tell him that she has a relationship with Jesus and that He told her. She asked if she could pray for him and he said yes... and was totally healed!!

Another group walked by this guy and got a word of knowledge that something was wrong with his mom, like maybe she was sick or something. So they went and asked and he was stunned! He said, "Wait! What did you say!!? My mom is in the hospital RIGHT now!"... so they prayed and told him about Jesus and that He knows everything about him and that he loved him very much! The guy said, "I wish there were more people like you on earth!".... Well that's what we are shooting for - teaching Christians to love like Jesus!

Anyway there are so much more, but I don't want to write a novel.. just wanted to encourage you and THANK YOU for praying.. it really made a difference!

We are so thankful!

love you lots!

Bethany and Luke

P.S. We are back on the Sunny Coast and our other DTS teams just came back from outreach and we are doing the debrief week so pray for the Lord to move. Often teams can feel reverse culture shock coming back etc.. so PRAY for emotions to be settled and for GOOD CLOSURE! I think some teams had a hard time with certain members so pray for reconciliation by the end of the week cuz it didn't seem too good with a few people when we saw them this morning. So we'd LOVE your prayers for that. Ok bye! =)

We practiced getting words of knowledge for each other before heading out to the streets! So fun!

We got to pray and minister to the students. One girl from France really was getting so much from God. She just wanted more so we prayed for her.

All gathered up in Brisbane City ready to hit the streets!
